Planning a last minute car hire can be stressful, especially when it is under unexpected circumstances such as family emergencies or urgent business travel. Dealing with the practical requirements of the trip like booking a rental car and planning accommodation is something you do not want to think about.
Either rent a car at the airport or hire in the CBD. But first, allot extra time to compare and check the prices for depots both at the airport and also in the surrounding area (CBD depot locations). While the most convenient option when flying into a new city, please note that airport rental cars prices can be higher.
Driver's Licence - Please note that if you've held a valid drivers license, for a minimum of 12 months and it is in English you will not need an international permit. Note that all documents must be original and photocopies are not recognised or accepted.
Credit/Debit Card - Most rental car companies require a credit card upon pick up and the credit card owner must sign the Rental Agreement when collecting the car. Pre-paid credit cards will not be accepted. Read our FAQ page and refer to the supplier terms and conditions for more information on using debit cards.
Booking number - You'll receive a confirmation right away after you've completed the booking. There are two options: have it sent via email or SMS. Just show the booking number from your phone upon arrival at the counter. No need to print it out.
